Description

Both are on a synthetic trunk in a predator/prey relationship.

This is an example of our work done on commission. This work is currently in the Citius I (Research, Technology and Innovation Center of the University of Seville).

The replica in the photo is not in stock but can be made to order. *Because it is not a mass-produced replica, but an original creation. The successive replicas would not be exactly the same, and may contain small differences.

About this species: The clouded leopard (Neofelis nebulosa) is one of the two species of felines belonging to the genus Neofelis. It has a length of 60 to 110 cm; females weigh 11 to 20 kg and males up to 65 kg. With arboreal habits, this species is an excellent climber that moves agilely through the branches thanks to its long tail that acts as a seesaw.

The clouded leopard’s fur is covered with large, irregular patches with black edges and brown interiors, which help it blend in among the leaves. Its name comes from these cloud-like patches. The animal has the unusual feature of having the longest canine teeth in relation to the rest of its body of any living cat. The clouded leopard rarely hunts on the ground. It uses its particular physical adaptations to catch agile animals in trees, especially primates such as gibbons, macaques and nasi monkeys. It also hunts rodents and other small mammals, birds, small deer and Asian porcupines.
